Recovery After a Traumatic Motorcycle Accident

Twenty-two year old Joanna was a passenger on her friend’s motorcycle when they were broadsided by a hit-and-run driver. She was thrown over 50 feet and spent weeks in a trauma center before being transferred to Kindred Hospital Flamingo, still in a coma and on a ventilator. Thanks to her care team at Kindred and her hard work, she progressed over many months to ultimately make a full recovery.
